Is my Zojirushi lunch jar BPA-free?
All food contact areas, including the inner bowls and lids, are BPA-free.
How do I clean my Zojirushi lunch jar (main body)?
Always wash the lunch jar with a soft sponge dipped in lukewarm water and a mild dishwashing liquid. Do not soak the lunch jar or place it in the dishwasher.
Are the inner bowls dishwasher and microwave safe?
The inner bowls are not dishwasher safe and should be hand washed with a soft sponge and a mild dishwashing liquid. The inner bowls (not the lids) are microwave safe except for model SL-XCE20.
How can I maximize the effectiveness of my lunch jar?
Preheat or precool your lunch jar by filling it with hot or cold water and letting it stand for at least five minutes. Empty the water and put in the inner bowls.
Why is the main bowl difficult to open?
The main bowl may become difficult to open if the lid has been damaged or if the bowl has been filled with soups or extremely hot foods.
Why is the soup bowl difficult to open?
When the soup bowl is filled with hot foods, some pressure may build up inside. In this case, push a small stick with a rounded tip or similar tool into the holes in the center of the lid to release the pressure. Please be careful not to damage the valve packing.
Is the nonstick coated interior of my Zojirushi Vacuum Insulated Lunch Jar PFOA-free?
Yes, all of our lunch jars with a nonstick coated interior are PFOA-free.
Is my Zojirushi lunch jar dishwasher safe?
The lunch jar and all its components are NOT dishwasher safe. We recommend handwashing them with a mild dishwashing liquid and a soft sponge, then letting them fully dry before their next use.
